Silent Witness offering reward in two cases

PHOENIX - Phoenix Police and Silent witness are hoping you can help catch three criminals caught on camera in two separate crimes.

The first case happened early in the morning at the Circle K on the corner of 21st Avenue and Van Buren.  Phoenix Police say a man with a mustache, goatee and several tattoos walked into the store, grabbed a plastic garbage bag, went behind the counter and started dumping cigarettes into the bag. Then he walked out.

"This is an example of where great surveillance video can help us catch somebody, because if you know this suspect or where he is, when you see this video, you're  going to recognize him quite easily," Sgt. Jamie Rothschild told 12 News.

He and Silent Witness also hope the public recognizes the two men in surveillance video from the Circle K on 7th Avenue and Baseline Road on May 15th.

Police say the two men used a credit that had just been stolen from a woman down the road.

"There was a woman walking and she was approached by a male who tried to take her purse," Sgt. Rothschild said. And when she resisted, he started to punch her in the face a couple times. He was joined by a second male who said they were going to need the gun."

The two men in the video match the description of the robbers. Now police hope you can help catch them.

If you know who any of the criminals are, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. You can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $1,000.
