Reward to find man who beat up Valley teen

Silent Witness is hoping you can help two men who police say beat up a 16-year-old.

PHOENIX - Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 to find the men involved in beating a 16-year-old young man at a Valley Circle K.

The fight happened on August 22, 2017 at the Circle K at Union Hills and 18th Avenue.

Phoenix Police say a man with a backward baseball ball cap and sunglasses walked into the store and bumped into a 16-year-old young man.

“They end up in a verbal argument, where it just escalates,” said Detective Kim Neis, who’s with Silent Witness.

Detective Neis said that’s when a man in a Diamondbacks cap, who may be named Rob or Scott, walked in and brutally beat the teen and sent him to the hospital with serious injuries.

“We want to find them because they're obviously violent people, that for something that was so seemingly minor, that it escalated to that point,” Det. Neis said.

After the fight, the two men walked out of the store and took off in an early 2000's gold, Buick LeSabre that's missing the passenger side front fender and hubcaps.

If you recognize either men in the video, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.  You can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $1,000.
