PHOENIX - Libertarian candidate for president Gary Johnson held a rally in Phoenix Saturday.

A huge crowd of people packed into the Phoenix Airport Marriott Hotel, screaming at the top of their lungs for the candidate.

"We have another option in this country, and that's what people don't realize," said one woman who came to the rally.

Johnson's platform attracts supporters from different areas. He is known to support legalizing marijuana, immigration reform and reducing taxes.

The candidate has had a rough few weeks. He blanked on a question last month about his favorite foreign policy leader and did not recognize a reference to the Syrian city of Aleppo.

But despite those mishaps, many say they continue to put their hope in Johnson -- because they can't get behind Trump or Clinton.

Johnson needs to muster 15 percent in enough of the national polls in order to make the general debates.

Johnson is a former two-term Republican governor of New Mexico, serving in that capacity from 1995 through 2005.
