Arizona Rep. Franks was on congressional baseball shooter's list

John Hodgkinson shot five people including congressman Joe Scalise who remains in critical condition.

The man who shot Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise and four others at a baseball practice in Virginia this week had a list of names in his pocket, according to NBC News.

Arizona Rep. Trent Franks (R-8) was on the list. Authorities have not yet determined if it was a hit list.

Scalise, the House majority whip, remains in the hospital in critical condition after several surgeries.

Suspect James Hodgkinson, 66, was shot and killed in a shootout with Scalise’s detail, Capitol Police and local police.

Also on the list were Reps. Mo Brooks of Alabama and Jeff Duncan of South Carolina.

12 News’ Brahm Resnik says Franks is not on the Republican congressional baseball team. Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake was a witness to the shooting and helped render aid to Scalise once the shooter was disarmed. Flake plays on the GOP baseball team.
