Nearly 700 people left without power in Chandler due to SRP outage

SRP crews responded to an outage that left nearly 700 people without power in Chandler on Wednesday.

CHANDLER, Ariz.- Nearly 700 people in Chandler were left without electricity for over an hour Wednesday after a Salt River Project substation circuit breaker shut off.

SRP crews responded to the outage shortly after noon. The substation that tripped is located at Dobson Road and Chandler Boulevard.

The area impacted by the outage was North Price Freeway to North Arrowhead Drive and West Warner Road to West Frye Road.

The electricity was restored by 1:50 p.m.
