Senior citizens vote from home in Iowa

(KWWL via NBC) Iowa precinct workers are traveling around to senior care centers and bringing ballots along with them.

Residents at Summit Pointe Senior Living Facility in Cedar Rapids cast their votes Thursday by simply making their way down the hall.

"We don't have to go and worry about getting to a voting place, and this is so handy we can even sit down," said Alice Marks.

Precinct workers say it will take them about two weeks to make their way to every senior care center that has requested ballots, making sure everyone gets their say.
