HOUSTON, TX - A little girl is traveling around the country to spread joy to police departments by giving them hugs.
Seven-year-old Rosalyn Baldwin's mission is called "Rosalyn Loves." Her goal is to hug a police officer in every state. On her website, she said she wishes to, "Unite communities by demonstrating her sincere love and appreciation for those who have committed their lives to serving and protecting the people of our nation."
Rosalyn's idea came to life after five Dallas police officers were killed last year. She gave out hugs at the Houston Police Academy Monday morning.
"God sent me on this mission of love," said Rosalyn. "He said, 'Rosalyn, you need to help these police officers.'"
Texas is the 25th state on her list. She is expected to spend about a week in the Lone Star state, with her next stop being Dallas.
