GILA BEND, Ariz. - A worker who got stuck in a pipe at a power plant near Gila Bend Thursday has been rescued.
He was pulled from the pipe just before 12:30 p.m. and seen moving once out of it.
Rescue crews gave him a quick scrub down before taking him to a hospital. The pipe had leftover mineral oil inside, which fire officials said could have posed a threat.
The rescue took more than three hours, and rescuers brought in an interpreter to work with the man, who is from Japan.
His injuries were determined not to be life-threatening.
