'We can't work': Truck crashes through auto shop in Phoenix

A driver suffered a medical condition causing a car crash at Lucky Seven custom wheels near 7th Street and Northern Avenue in Phoenix, according to police.

PHOENIX – A Toyota Tacoma crashed into an auto shop near Dunlap Road and 7th Street at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.

“We’re pretty much shut down for a while,” said Napoleon Morazan, the owner of Lucky 7.

He opened the auto shop in 2001.

The truck smashed through the front of his business, taking out some interior walls, tools, computers and a structural beam.

According to Phoenix police, the driver lost control for some reason. Alcohol was not involved, an officer said.

The driver will be OK.

“Nobody was here, no customers, no person was hurt, workers, nobody," said Morazan. "That’s good news. The bad news is that we can’t work and shut down totally and I don’t know how long because the damage is to the structure on the actual wall. You can see in the video it took the pole which supports the entire wall to the garage and that’s my main concern."

"It’s not just the doors it’s the main wall. I can’t do anything. It’s going to be a while.”
