Get excited Phoenix U2 fans, the iconic rock band just announced the addition of a Phoenix stop to The Joshua Tree Tour 2017.

The show will be September 19, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Phoenix has a unique and historic connection to the band as the original 1987 Joshua Tree Tour started and ended at ASU in Tempe, Arizona.

In 1987, the tour began on April 2 at the ASU University Activity Center, now known as Wells Fargo Arena, and ended on December 20 the same year at Sun Devil Stadium.
