Free adoptions at MCACC
The Maricopa County Animal Care and Control shelters are full, so to help these animals find their furever homes, MCACC is offering free adoptions valid for any cat (any age) and any dog over six months.

Remember the Phoenix Lights? One of the most-witnessed UFO sightings that happened 20 years ago in Phoenix is getting the Hollywood treatment produced by Wes Ball and Ridley Scott.
When: The movie hits theaters Friday, April 21
Where: A quick Google search shows the movie will be showing at several Valley AMC and Harkins theaters.
The 13th annual 4.2 mile run/walk through the streets of Tempe that finishes in Sun Devil Stadium in honor of Pat Tillman. The race is sold out, but you can still go cheer on the runners!
Arizona Cardinals' David Johnson is this year's race starter.
If you're trying to drive around Tempe check for closures before leaving.

Where: The route winds though Tempe ending on the 42 yard line at Sun Devil Stadium

Sweet to the Soul spring market
If you're one for shopping at local markets then a trip to Peoria Sports Complex should be in your weekend plans.
Admission is free and the first 100 shoppers through the gate will receive a free reusable shopping bag filled with samples and coupons for the event.
Most of the stuff you'll see is handmade with a few direct sales.

7th annual Larry Fitzgerald Double Play Celebrity Softball Game
Fans and celebrities join together to play some softball hosted by Larry Fitzgerald with all of the proceeds going to charity.
General admission is $20 and if you want to sit in the dugout with the players, it's $500 each ticket. Parking is free.
When: Saturday, April 22. Gates open at 5 p.m.
Where: Salt River Fields
#KIDTOPIA Festival for Kids
An interactive festival featuring giant inflatables, selfie galleries, sports activities, games, amusement park rides, a petting zoo, and more all for the kids. Plus, performances from Disney artists.
General admission tickets are $20.
