Stingray Bay back open at Phoenix Zoo after monsoon damage

The Stingray Bay interactive exhibit has reopened after damage from monsoon storms in August at the Phoenix Zoo.

PHOENIX - Guests can once again get up close to the stingrays at Phoenix Zoo.

The zoo's popular Stingray Bay reopened Tuesday after a monsoon storm ripped its tenting canopy in half in August.

The exhibit stayed closed for two months as the zoo awaited a new canopy.

The zoo is celebrating the return of the stingray exhibit with a Breakfast with the Stingrays event on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 22, at 8 a.m.

You can learn more and register for the event on Phoenix Zoo’s website. The zoo suggests you register soon, as spots are going fast.
