Scottsdale PD release photos from MMA fighter's alleged sex assault case

Adolfo Ramirez did not attend court appearance.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Scottsdale Police Department  just released crime scene photos of a rape case involving a former MMA fighter that’s gained national attention. For the first time, the photos take us inside the night police say a woman was brutally assaulted in Old Town Scottsdale.

Rodolfo Ramirez is facing a lot of serious charges including sexual assault and kidnapping. He was supposed to be in court Thursday, but his lawyer says he could not be there for medical reasons.

Snapshots of a September night ended with former Ramirez in jail and an alleged sexual assault victim dumped off alone on a Tempe street.

Court documents say Ramirez picked up a passed out woman, flung her over his shoulder, carried her to an Old Town Scottsdale parking garage and sexually assaulted her inside.

Newly released photos from investigators reveal evidence markers inside that parking garage, foot prints and a cell phone charger the victim says she lost.

Police say Ramirez then took the victim to his home, where he assaulted her again.

Next, investigators capture the suspect’s apartment from the living room to bedrooms and the laundry room where male and female clothing will now become evidence too.

The victim told Police she had been out drinking with a friend at a Scottsdale club and her next memory was waking up to a man she didn’t know sexually assaulting her.

Ramirez is scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 14, 2016.
