Police: Stolen dog case is instead a 'dispute'

PHOENIX - Police have located a person who a woman said shoved her and stole her dog while she was out for a walk on Wednesday night.

Phoenix PD officials said the incident appears to be a dispute rather than a case of a stolen dog as was initially reported.

According to police, the woman told them was walking near 2015 W. Union Hills Drive when an adult male suspect approached her from behind, shoved her and stole her pit bull. The suspect then fled in a car.

The dog is black and white. His name is Zeus, and he is still outstanding.

Police said they are still investigating.
