Police search for man who robbed 94-year-old woman, put her in car trunk

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed and kidnapped a 94-year-old woman, leaving her locked in the trunk of her car at the parking lot of Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.

Tuesday afternoon, a 94-year-old woman climbed out of her own car trunk in the parking lot of Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.

Police are still searching for the man who robbed her and forced her into the trunk.

The woman is in fair condition at a nearby hospital.

The incident happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning at the woman's home near 68th Street and Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

She was left in the trunk for several hours, just across the street from her home.

After she freed herself from the trunk, a bystander called 911 and police responded to help the woman.
