Phoenix Zoo is getting its first-ever sloth

The first sloth to reside at Phoenix Zoo will soon make his debut in the Forest of Uco trail.

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Zoo is debuting its first-ever sloth next week, according to zoo officials.

Fernando, or Fern, as his friends call him, is a two-toed sloth from the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

The zoo said visitors will be able to see him on the Forest of Uco trail next week, provided Fernando continues to adjust well to his new home.

For now, Fernando will be the only sloth on exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo.
