PHOENIX - Fire crews rushed a woman to the hospital after she was pulled from inside a burning apartment early Friday.

Crews responded to the apartment fire around 2 a.m., near 19th and Dunlap avenues.

As firefighters were making their way through the apartment searching for occupants, they found the 50-year-old woman.

She was rushed to a hospital where she later died.

Crews were able to put out the fire and stop it from spreading to other units, though three other residents were displaced due to smoke and water damage.
