It may be a little too hot for some in the Valley, but if you're a recent graduate -- enduring the nearly 120-degree temps might just be one of your best bets for a successful career.
Forbes recently released its annual list of America’s best cities for young professionals ranking the largest metropolitan areas in the country across several key metric, that it says are "crucial to graduates," including salary, rent pricing, employment prospects, networking opportunities and social outlook.
The Phoenix area ranks fourth for young professionals among major metropolitan areas, according to the business magazine, with a $50,400 median salary for recent grads and a 3.6 percent unemployment rate.
The Valley also had one of the best projected job growths in the country, according to the data.
The results show only San Francisco, Boise City, Idaho and Salt Lake City are considered "better" for recent grads than Phoenix.
