'Phoenix Lights' remembered in documentary on 20th anniversary

Phenomenon of the Phoenix Lights..

PHOENIX - Monday, March 13, 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of the ‘Phoenix Lights.’

The phenomenon has never been fully explained, but it has kept one former medical physician in the spotlight after she dedicated her life to searching for answers.

“I am actually a key witness with the only 35mm photographs of these anomalous aerial phenomena that have changed my life completely,” Dr. Lynne D. Kitei, M.D. said.

Dr. Kitei ended up trading her stethoscope for the video camera, producing a documentary which debuted Sunday about the event that has received global attention.

“I pushed my whole medical career to be with you, standing here today, showing the documentary that's won over a dozen international film festival awards which we're so proud of,” she said.

She also has a bestselling book which was just released in its third edition for the anniversary.

“There is so much more to this story,” she said.

Some have tried to explain the lights as flares, secret government aircraft or something to do with the Hale-Bopp Comet that was supposed to make an appearance that night. All have been ruled out.

“I call them unexplained phenomena, U-P, up, because they are an up, they change people forever,” she said.
