Phoenix high schooler arrested for taking gun to school

Phoenix police arrested a student who was accused of having a gun on campus at South Pointe High School in Phoenix.

PHOENIX - Police officers arrested a student at South Pointe High School Thursday for allegedly bringing a gun to class.

Police arrived at the school around 10 a.m. after receiving an anonymous tip giving the student's name.

They found the weapon in the student's backpack and took him into custody.

Police have not identified the student and they are still investigating.
