Phoenix couples say ‘I do' on their favorite holiday, Halloween

This Phoenix couple decided to tie the knot on their favorite holiday, Halloween.

PHOENIX - Whether it's fall leaves, tinsel or ringing in the new year, some couples opt to commemorate their big day along with their favorite holiday.

And that was the case for Mariano Yanez and Jesus Peña.

“We really wanted to get married for a long time and kept putting if off,” said Peña. “We decided why not Halloween.”

The couple joined dozens of other couples at the Maricopa County Justice Courts to have their wedding ceremony.

The Maricopa County Justice Courts did not disappoint as Judge Leonore Driggs donned a Snow White costume in celebration of their special day.

“I honestly did not expect the judge to be in a Snow White costume so it’s definitely going to be memorable,” said Peña.
