PHOENIX - Attendees at the Maricopa County Home and Garden Show got to meet the stars of HGTV’s “Property Brothers” this weekend.

Drew and Jonathan Scott are the eponymous brothers, who help find, buy and remodel fixer-uppers into dream homes on the show.

12 News caught up with the duo Saturday. They talked about their start in the real estate business, how they work together and the various side projects keeping them busy.

"We film about 10-and-a-half months out of the year. Plus, we run a major, major furniture and decor line. We've written two best-selling books, and Drew has somehow also squeezed in 'Dancing With the Stars,'" Jonathan said. "I think it's about efficiency. We divide and conquer everything we do."

Drew and Jonathan will do another stage show and meet-and-greet Sunday Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.

“Both days, it’s different presentations. And it’s basically making fun of Jonathan for an hour,” Drew said.

The presentation on Sunday will be about how you can get a beautiful home renovation that you see on TV without breaking the bank.

“It is a hard process, but if you’re working with the right professionals and you stay organized, then you can make that happen. You can have that dream home,” Drew said.

Daily general admission to the Maricopa County Home and Garden Show is $10 for adults and $3 for children at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
