McDowell Mountain Music Festival announces full lineup

PHOENIX - Nick Murphy (formerly known as Chet Faker), Father John Misty, Big Gigantic, O.A.R., Dr. Dog are among the acts coming to Phoenix for McDowell Mountain Music Festival in just a few months.

The 100-percent nonprofit music festival will be celebrating its 15th year on March 2-4 at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix.

The festival dropped its full lineup Tuesday with Nick Murphy and Big Gigantic headlining Friday night and Father John Misty and Griz headlining Saturday. The official schedule will be announced closer to the date.

Other notable acts include: Cut Copy, Mura Masa, Washed Out and White Denim.

Local acts will perform, too, including: Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, the Lonesome Wilderness, Treasurefruit, Daisy and Romen Buffalo and the Loyal Order.

Tickets for the three-day festival are already on sale. Currently, three-day general admission tickets are available for $70 and single-day tickets will cost you half as much. Three-day and single-day VIP tickets are also on sale.

Previous McDowell Mountain Music Festival headliners include Flume, Chromeo, Grouplove, Beck, Kid Cudi, The Avett Brothers, The Roots, The Shins, Slightly Stoopid and Umphrey’s McGee.

According to its website, the charity-centered festival has raised over $1 million to Arizona charities. Last year, McDowell Mountain Music Festival had its biggest year yet and donated $150,000 to charity.
