Silent Witness detectives are searching for a man who threatened to use a gun and commanded a 17-year-old Subway employee to hand over money from the cash register back in April.

On April 28, just before 6 p.m., the suspect entered the Subway near 91st Avenue and Thomas Road, ordered a sandwich, then whispered to the teenaged employee to give him all the money while flashing a handgun is his pocket, authorities said.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic male, approximately 35 years old. He is 6-feet tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beanie, tank top, black and white checkered shorts and black shoes. He has tattoos covering his arms, chest and back.

Once he had the cash, the suspect fled on foot and jumped a wall leading to 89th Drive. Authorities said that is the last time he was seen.

Anyone with information on this incident is urged to call Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
