Johnson Utilities is warning its customers of high nitrate levels

SCOTTSDALE - Johnson Utilities said in a release Wednesday that it had received lab results showing nitrate levels above the acceptable standard.

The result, which Johnson received Tuesday, showed nitrate levels of 11 mg/L. The maximum containment level allowed by state standards is 10 mg/L.

The release said nitrate is a serious concern for infants younger than 6 months old.

Johnson services parts of the southeast Valley. To determine if you use Johnson Utilities, you can head to Johnson's website for a subdivision list or the Pinal County Assessor's website to input your address.
