Iguana back home after spending nearly 2 months in the wilds of Avondale

AVONDALE, Ariz. - A green iguana has been reunited with her family thanks to the actions of a good Samaritan.

According to Avondale police, Abigail the iguana went missing from her home on Sept. 30, 2017. Abigail's family placed a lost ad on social media.

Several sightings of her were reported over the last six weeks, police said. But sadly, she was never found.

On Wednesday, there was another sighting in Garden Lakes. This time, however, it led to a happy ending.

A good Samaritan was able to catch Abigail and reunite her with her family.
