Iconic Phoenix deli closing after 60 years

The Park Central Deli at the Park Central Mall in Phoenix will serve up food for the final time in November.

The deli posted a note days ago saying it would close its doors after 60 years of service.

According to the note, the lease on the deli was expiring and after the Park Central property was sold, owners Jim Bickoff and Charlie Sands have decided to retire.

The deli was initially opened in 1957 by the Grodzinsky family who ran the Mircale Mile Deli there for nearly 50 years. The family sold it to Bickoff and Sands in 2005.

Park Central Deli will serve its final lunch on Nov. 17 until 3:30 p.m.
