Monday, July 3, is the start of the 12 News and Bashas’ summer food drive.
All money and food raised will go to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul and all the families they sponsor and help feed. They feed over 4,000 people a day here in Phoenix.
The demand is very high during the summer months because kids are away from school and do not have access to breakfast or lunch programs.
All you need to do is go to any Bashas’ or Food City and purchase a $12 grocery bag with pre-selected items. That bag will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul.
You can also buy a $1 voucher that will go towards the summer food drive. Or you can actually round up your bill and that amount will go to the food drive as well.
The summer food drive will continue through the whole month of July.
