SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Have you ever wanted to make fresh homemade spaghetti sauce or a peach pie?
Culinary instructor Linda Hopkins of Les Petites Gourmettes shares her technique of peeling soft fruits.
Hopkins says you need to start with boiling water.
Cut a cross at the bottom of the fruit.
Drop the fruit in the boiling water.
As soon as you can see the peel separate from the fruit, take it out and drop it in a bowl of ice water.
Then take a knife and peel off the skin.
Now you're ready to cook or bake with the peeled fruit.
