Dramatic new body cam video shows a shootout with police in a Buckeye neighborhood. Police said a 911 call from an out-of-state family member advised officers the man may have killed his wife and two children in the house as well.

New video released by Buckeye police shows a shootout between police and a man accused of killing his wife in June 2016.

The man died after a shooting with officers the afternoon of June 25, 2016, near Southern Avenue and Apache Road in Buckeye.

Buckeye Police said they got a call requesting a welfare check on people in a home on Wayland Drive. Police said a 911 call from an out-of-state family member advised officers the man may have killed his wife and two children in the house as well.

Officers said the man started shooting at officers from inside a vehicle as they arrived. Police said several vehicles and nearby homes were struck and that officers returned fire.

No police officers were hurt.

Police said while they entered the home, assisting officers found the man dead inside the vehicle.

The body cam footage from police shows gunshots fired at police, while officers took cover behind their patrol vehicle.

Buckeye Police delayed releasing this video until the case was resolved.

Inside the home, officers found a dead woman and two children who were unharmed, according to police.

It is unclear whether the suspect was shot by police or killed himself.
