ASU police offering free active-shooter training courses for students

Safety tips that can be used on and off campus start October 25 at ASU's West and Tempe campuses.

Would you know what to do in an active-shooter situation? The Arizona State University Police Department is making sure students on campus are prepared.

The department is offering free training courses on select dates starting Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The courses, according to ASU PD, will help students develop skills to increase the chance of survival in an active-shooter situation.

Training will be held on ASU's West and Tempe campuses.

To sign up for one of the courses, visit the ASU events website.
