Alice Cooper talks about presidential candidate Trump

Organizers say 4,000 have RSVP'd to Trump's Phoenix event, but many are displeased.

Rock legend and longtime Valley resident Alice Cooper has golfed with many celebrities, including presidential candidate Donald Trump. However, now that Trump has thrown his hat into the political arena, there may not be another golf date between the rock star and the billionaire reality star.

"I don't think you ever want to play golf with someone who might run for president," Cooper joked Thursday.

He says presidential candidates and politicians always seem to get the "lucky bounces" on the green.

In a 2012 interview with Q magazine, Cooper mentioned Trump's golf rule bending ways.

"The worst celebrity golf cheat? I wish I could tell you that. It would be a shocker. I played golf with Donald Trump one time. That's all I'm going to say," he told the magazine.

So he may not think Trump's an honest golfer but does he think he'd make a good president?

"Nobody's out of the running," Cooper said. "A lot of guys figure 'if I'm a billionaire I can run for President.' It doesn't necessarily mean they're the best person for President. But you have to look at it, America is a corporation. We are a big company so you almost want a guy in there, or a woman in there who can run a company."
