PHOENIX - Sen. Bernie Sanders is returning to Phoenix for another rally on Saturday night, and we sat down with him Thursday. Briefly.

We met up with Sanders before a Thursday speech at the Twin Arrows Casino on the Navajo Nation.

We discussed his wife's recent visit to Tent City, his votes on gun legislation, border issues, and why he's optimistic about his chances in Arizona.

Then the senator abruptly ended the interview, saying our time was up.

12 News will air the full interview on this weekend's Sunday Square Off at 8 a.m., or watch here.

Sanders' next Arizona rally will be Saturday at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Doors open at 4 p.m. The program will start at 7 p.m.
