All five people were taken to a hospital, but Phoenix FD officials said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Two children and three adults, including a Phoenix police officer, were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening near 32nd and Oak streets.

All five people were taken to a hospital, but Phoenix FD officials said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

A woman in her 30s and a 13-year-old girl were extricated from a car, and a 13-year-old boy was ejected from that vehicle, according to fire officials. He was awake and communicating to paramedics before being taken to the hospital.

A man was able to get out of the car on his own, but he was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The officer is also headed to a hospital in stable condition with a cut to his forehead.

It's not clear what caused the crash.
