3 arrested in Phoenix gay bar robberies

PHOENIX -- Three arrests have been made involving robberies at two Phoenix gay bars Tuesday night, according to Phoenix police. 

The first robbery occurred near 7th Avenue and Turney Avenue around 9:30 p.m. The second occurred just before 10:30 p.m. near 10th Street and Indian School Road, according to Phoenix police. 

Police have identified the suspects  involved in the armed robberies as 20-year-old Giovanna Lexus Leon, Andrew Juan Sainz, 18, and the third arrest is a 15-year old male. 

All three have been booked on charges of armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault. 

Police say due to surveillance video obtained from two locations, detectives were able to gather information leading them to the arrests.
