15-year-old injured after bike hit by car in Gilbert

GILBERT, Ariz. - Firefighters said a 15-year-old boy suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after his bike was hit by a car near Germann and Power roads in Gilbert Thursday night. 

Police said the boy was crossing the intersection when a car going westbound struck him on his bicycle.

The driver remained on scene, and police said there were no signs of impairment from the driver.

Investigators are trying to determine who had the right of way at the intersection traffic light.
