Glendale police said an 11-year-old girl was injured Saturday when shots were fired from a traveling vehicle that fled the area.
The shooting happened near 59th and Missouri avenues around 4 p.m. Police believe the shots were fired at another vehicle when the girl, who was in the area, was struck.
The girl was treated on scene for a minor injury, police said.
There is no suspect information at the time, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The southbound lanes of 59th Avenue are closed from San Juan to Missouri avenues and are anticipated to remain closed for at least an hour, police said.
