1 dead, 1 hurt after fight ends with car hitting both men

A physical fight came to an end when one of the men's girlfriend ran both men over, police said.

PHOENIX - A man is dead and another seriously hurt after the two got into a fight and were hit by a car in a Circle K parking lot near Hatcher Road and 7th Avenue late Thursday.

Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night, Phoenix police said the driver of a pickup truck and the driver of a Lincoln began arguing and fighting.

The pickup driver pulled out an air rifle that looks like an AR-15 and began beating the other man, identified as 48-year-old Robert Krumlauf, in the head with it, police said. He didn't fire the weapon.

As the fight continued, a woman police say is the Lincoln driver's girlfriend, identified as 29-year-old Jenna Keller, drove their car into both men, seriously injuring them.

After running over the men, police say Keller was seen getting out of her vehicle to punch Krumlauf while he was on the ground.

Keller's boyfriend is in the ICU; Krumlauf was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Phoenix police say Keller was intoxicated. She was arrested, processed for DUI and booked for second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
