TEMPE, Ariz. - Two people were on the run Thursday morning after a shooting that left one man dead, according to the Tempe Police Department.
Police were on scene for hours after the 911 call was made by a neighbor requesting a welfare check about 2:30 a.m.
Investigators said officers found the man dead inside the home on 1100 S. Roosevelt when they arrived.
Det. Lily Duran of the Tempe Police Department said this was an isolated incident, citing evidence that led investigators to believe the shooting was drug related.
Witnesses only provided a very vague description of the two men for whom police searched Thursday morning.
The intersection of Roosevelt and 11th streets was blocked by the crime scene for hours as detectives investigated.
