12 Who Care: Home 'Fur' Good

"Home Fur Good" is a no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers who care and treat animals while they wait for a new home.

Home 'Fur' Good was founded in the summer of 2009 when a group of animal welfare advocates learned a disturbing statistic. Maricopa County has the second highest euthanasia rate in the nation, second only to Los Angeles County.

Since that day Home 'Fur' Good made it their mission to provide a temporary home to pets and cats as they rehabilitate and match them up with new forever homes. The rescue also has a clinic that provides low cost vaccines, micro-chipping and affordable dental care for pets.

The staff and volunteers at Home 'Fur' Good work hard to give animals a clean and comfortable place to live and exercise... while they get medical care and affection.
