Utah man reported missing at the Grand Canyon

GRAND CANYON, Ariz. - The National Park Service is looking for a Utah man who went missing Tuesday at the South Rim in Grand Canyon National Park.

Michael Legus, 39, of Tooele, Utah, was last seen at Mather Point around noon Tuesday, a press release from Grand Canyon National Park says.

A friend reported him missing but was not sure what direction he was headed.

Legus is described as 6 feet tall, 230 pounds, with brown and gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the release.

Anyone with information about Legus is encouraged to call the National Park Service Investigative Services tip line at 888-653-0009.

A missing persons investigation is ongoing.
