Reader's Digest says to avoid these 10 dangerous bugs, but they all live in Arizona

Reader's Digest lists the 10 most dangerous bugs and they all live here in Arizona.

PHOENIX - Reader's Digest put together a list of the 10 dangerous insects you need to be careful of this summer, and Arizona is home to every one of them.

The list includes black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, centipedes, scorpions, tarantulas, ticks, wasps and Africanized bees.

Black widows and brown recluse spiders can be very venomous and dangerous to the very old, the very young or people with compromised immune systems.

Ticks and mosquitos can both carry diseases. And Africanized bees have been known to swarm, and even sting people to death.

But experts say some of the other bugs, like tarantulas and scorpions, are only mildly dangerous, and will avoid people. However, scorpions are more likely to live in your home than the other insects.
