More evacuations lifted with Goodwin Fire at 75 percent contained

Yavapai County officials say evacuations have been lifted for Walker, Potato Patch, Mount Union, Mountain Pines Acres and Pine Flat in Prescott area.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office announced more evacuations would be lifted as the Goodwin Fire remains at 75 percent contained as of Monday morning.

YCSO said at 10 a.m. Monday, the evacuations were lifted in Walker, Potato Patch, Mount Union, Mountain Pine Acres and, for residents only, Pine Flat along Forest Road 177  from the west side of Poland Junction south to Mayer.

At 12 p.m. the evacuation is expected to be lifted in Breezy Pines along Forest Road 58.

The Goodwin Fire has burned over 27,000 acres since its start on June 24. Authorities have said the fire could be fully contained by Tuesday.
