Semi-truck crash closed EB I-10 east of California-Arizona border Friday morning.

TONOPAH, Ariz. - Eastbound I-10 has reopened a lane approximately 20 miles west of Tonopah after a crash involving a FedEx truck Friday morning.

According to DPS, maintenance crews were working on new asphalt on the EB I-10 lanes, performing what is called a rolling closure, when a slowing semi-truck was rear-ended by a FedEx truck.

Packages littered the roadway and two people had to be extricated from their vehicle.

The roadway was closed for about six hours.

DPS said the two FedEx drivers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the rear-ended semi was not hurt.
