Former airman gets 100-year sentence in child porn case

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A former airman who was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson faces 100 years in prison on convictions stemming from possession of child pornography.

Jesse Ryan Swaffar was sentenced Thursday in Pima County Superior Court on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

The Air Force discharged Swaffar last year when Tucson police began investigating him after his girlfriend alerted police to videos and photos on his computer.

Police said they found thousands of videos and pictures of child pornography on Swaffar's computer.
