Authorities search for homicide suspect last seen in Queen Creek

Police are looking for Garry B. Wilckens who is suspected of a double homicide in Sanders, Arizona.

SANDERS, Ariz.- Apache County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for assistance in locating a suspect in a double homicide case who was last seen in Queen Creek on Sunday.

While making a welfare check, deputies found Robert Sorensen, 81, and Martha Sorensen, 75, dead with gunshot wounds in their home in Sanders, Arizona. Based on investigative leads and witness accounts, deputies identified 51-year-old Garry B. Wilckens as a person of interest in the elderly couple's deaths, ACSO said. 

According to ACSO, the couple's bedroom window appeared to be damaged by gunfire.

Wilckens fled the area. Authorities said the suspect may be fleeing the United States to Mexico.

ACSO said it is likely Wilckens may harm individuals or the public and urges that no one approaches him because he may be armed and dangerous.
