1 injured, 1 in custody after shooting at Doc Holliday's Saloon in Tombstone

TOMBSTONE, Ariz. - A man is injured and another man is in custody after shots were fired in a bar fight Friday night at the Doc Holliday's Saloon, Cochise County Sheriff's Office said.

According to CCSO, 47-year-old James Edward Roberson and a female friend were told they could not have their handguns on them while in the saloon and gave the weapons to the bartender.

When the couple got into a verbal confrontation with two men shortly after 1 a.m., they got their weapons back from the bartender, CCSO said. Roberson and one of the two men struggled over the gun before it was fired and struck the man in the leg.

The victim was airlifted to a Tucson hospital for his injury, while Roberson was booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct with a weapon, misconduct with a weapon and endangerment.

CCSO said there is no update on the victim's condition.

Roberson remains in custody on a $25,000 bond.
