Rewards offered for information on armed robber and day spa burglars

Police are looking for the two suspects responsible for breaking into a day spa and one who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint.

PHOENIX - Phoenix Police and Silent Witness are offering up to a $1,000 reward to find who's responsible for breaking into a day spa and robbing a convenience store at gunpoint.

The break-in happened at the Azul Day Spa on Peoria and 28th Avenues on October 6, 2017 about 3:15 a.m. Black-and-white surveillance video shows two men break through the wall of the business.

“Once they got in there, they started taking property from the counters and trying to get into the cash register,” said Sgt. Jamie Rothschild with Silent Witness.

The video shows one man take the entire cash register and helps the other steal some kind of property from the spa. The men eventually take off.

Meanwhile, the armed robbery happened at the Circle K on 15th Avenue and McDowell Road on September 16, 2017 about 2:30 p.m.

“It's broad daylight and this guy comes into the convenience store and shows the gun to the clerk,” Sgt. Rothschild said. “And you can see in the video, he's looking around a couple times, so people were probably in the store.”

The video never shows the gun, but it does show the clerk open the register, drop the cash on the counter and the robber taking off.

If you recognize anyone in the surveillance video, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-Witness. You can remain anonymous and receive a reward of up to $1,000.
