PHOENIX - Fury is growing among brides and retailers after the sudden closure of an established bridal company, Alfred Angelo.
"We had a call from a bride saying that now since Alfred Angelo is closing, do we have a certain style? And we were like, 'What?'" said Janine Kesselman, the owner of Janine's Alterations and Kizmett Comfort Clothing.
Kizmett says she has not been contacted by the company regarding the situation and found out about it online. Her store sells only Alfred Angelo dresses.
"Immediately five dresses were discontinued and I'm like, 'I just bought these,'" Kesselman said.
The woman says she has invested $10,000 into dresses and merchandise that she plans to sell at a discounted price to get them out the door.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is planning to file for bankruptcy protection as uncertainty continues to grow among customers and retailers.
12 News attempted to call the company's customer help line, but no one answered.
Multiple news outlets are reporting customers are being instructed to contact a law firm out of Miami to file a complaint and 12 News reached out to the firm, but did not hear back.
"I'm confused, I'm frustrated, I'm going to be incredibly poor because of this, but I will bounce back," Kesselman said.
