How much will Thanksgiving cost you this year?

It's the second biggest holiday of the year but how much does it cost to feed a gathering of 10 people?

PHOENIX - As we get ready to set the dinner table for Thanksgiving, the Arizona Farm Bureau has released its annual cost estimate for a turkey dinner for 2017.

Coming it at 13.5 percent less than last year, the bureau predicts the average cost will be $39.82 to feed 10 people.

So we set out for the second year in a row to see if we could find all the items AFB listed as part of its definition of a turkey dinner, but for cheaper.

The items and their average prices (excluding coupons, sales or other specials) are:

Turkey, 16 lbs: $14.24
Cube stuffing, 14 oz.: $2.42
Pumpkin pie mix, 30 oz.: $2.98
Pie shells (2): $2.00
Sweet potatoes, 3 lbs: $4.64
Brown & serve rolls, 12: $2.00
Frozen green peas, 1 lb: $1.00
Carrots and celery relish tray, l lb: $1.00 
Whole milk, 1 gallon: $2.05 
Fresh cranberries, 12 oz.: $2.50 
Whipping cream, half pint: $1.98 
*Misc. ingredients: $3.01 
*Coffee, onions, eggs, sugar, flour, evaporated milk and butter
